GIC is advising on the green roofs and interior living wall for Cambridge University’s new centre for the Cambridge Conservation Initiative, which will be housed in the Arup Building, which is being re-furbished .

Greening social housing – GIC supported Groundwork in planning and detailed design.

Sustainable drainage for London Underground.

Large scale planning work: GIC has supported PRP on the Chobham Manor development in the Olympic Park.

Climate change adaptation of social housing: GIC supported the EU LIFE+ grant application process and is providing technical advice on the detailed schemes for Groundwork and the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham.

Policy; GIC wrote the Mayor of London’s green roof policy (now part of the London Plan) and technical report.

Guidance: The GIC team wrote the BugLIfe guidance on creating green roofs for invertebrates.

Conservation and heritage: Working with The Ecology Consultancy, GIC experts provided advice to Brighton City Council on the conservation of their Victorian seafront green wall.

Rain Garden guide: GIC experts wrote the UK DIY rain garden guide.

Catchment Management: GIC is supporting the ARC Arun & Rother Connections – with strategic advice and detailed rain garden design.

Corporate sustainability and action for biodiversity: GIC is advising PwC.
